Woody for city area

Try apex temple court, very nice hotel just off fleet street and easy access to covent garden and the city, or the grange as others have mentioned, the one at st pauls is nicer and a bit more modern imho

Woody, Marlin apartments are nice. get a decent space and there is one by borough market, so easy to go to the shard for a drink.

should be in that price range.

This place is decent Woody. I got a good deal through booking.com a couple of years ago, IIRC it came to about £150 for the night and I got a free upgrade.

Proper central as well.

I do indeed, but would argue the hotel is in Tower Hill. Other hotels in the area call themselves Tower Hill.

Regardless, lovely hotel.

woodster, z hotel in Shoreditch (right by old street station). Rooms are small but very modern and boaty, very reasonable for what it is, stayed there the other week.

what day?

if it's a friday or saturday then check the different grange venues, the one near aldgate is usual good value. also the montcalm near barbican. if you are looking at during the week then it will be expensive pretty much everywhere as hotels get booked up for business.

all depends what night mate, city hotels are always more expensive sun-thu, but fri/sat often far cheaper. do you want to be in the city or up west?
